Open predictions desk →Andrey Rublev closed the week in Bastad with a measured straight-sets victory over defending champion Luciano Darderi, 6-4, 6-3. Rublev’s cleaner serving under pressure and more consistent return depth shortened rallies at the decisive moments and left Darderi fighting from the back foot.
Andrey Rublev edged Alejandro Tabilo 6-4 4-6 6-4 in a tight Bastad semi, advancing to the final after a match decided by a handful of high-leverage service games. Rublev’s heavier serving and timely pressure on return saw him claim the single decisive break late in the decider.
Luciano Darderi edged Adolfo Daniel Vallejo 6-4 6-7(11) 6-3 in a tense Bastad semifinal, surviving a marathon second-set tiebreak before reasserting control in the decider. Darderi’s serve resilience and clutch defence under pressure carried him into the title match as he defends his crown.
Alejandro Tabilo progressed to the Nordea Open semifinal when Thiago Agustín Tirante did not present for their quarterfinal, the match recorded as a walkover. The official ATP match report lists the result as a no-show, leaving Tabilo to face Adolfo Daniel Vallejo in the last four without a quarterfinal test.
Top seed Andrey Rublev produced a clinic on clay in Bastad, dispatching eighth seed Sebastián Báez 6-1, 6-2 to reach the semifinals. Rublev broke Báez four times, never surrendered the initiative and moved through with crisp serving and aggressive returns that short-circuited rallies.
Adolfo Daniel Vallejo edged a tight first set before turning the screw on clay, beating Stefano Travaglia 7-6(5), 6-2 to reach the Nordea Open semifinals. Vallejo’s resilience in high-pressure moments and improved return depth in the second set produced the decisive margin and a place in the last four.
